Teaching aims (教学目标)

1. 能用所学知识谈论动物。

2. 能理解大象是泰国的象征。

3. 能够知道要保护动物。

4. 掌握英语阅读的技巧。

Language points  (语言点)

1. 词汇:1) 名词n.  symbol, flag, place, water, danger, tree, ivory, zoo, Thailand, Thai

        2) 形容词adj. Thai

      3) 动词 v. save, forget, cut, kill  

     4)介词 prep. over

     5) 副词 adv. Down

2.短语:(be) in danger, cut down, get lost, made of, symbol of, kill…for

3. 句子:1)  People cut down many trees so elephants are losing their homes.

      2) They can also remember places with food and water.

Difficulties (教学难点)

2.learning the reading skills to understand the article

Teaching steps (教学步骤)

1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习)

2. Presentation (呈现新知识)
